NOTEPAD: When I was in Bosnia in 2001 & Baghdad in 2003, I remember listening to the daily calls to prayer echoing from the local mosques. That's why, on a trip to Thailand, I decided to follow the sounds of chanting monks.
Walking down a dirt country road, I discovered three Buddhist Monks praying inside of a small, darken temple. Religion, in all its forms, continues to dominate man's interactions with this world. While making my own pilgrimage through life, I search for images which somehow reflect the faith & hope of humanity.

Indeed, maybe one day, ALL of this world's religious leaders will stand together to fight the hatred and tyranny of global terrorism. Man, not God, hold the keys to a lasting peace.

NOTEPAD: Sometimes, when I'm photographing people in other countries, I wish I could speak the local language. Granted, these days, English is spoken nearly everywhere (even though the French hate to admit it). However, when I do stumble across an interesting subject, I attempt to bridge the language gap. Many times, I rely on a translator to get my ideas communicated. At other times, I simply point at the camera and go through a sort of mime routine. Body language & hand movements usually work to get the message across. Parlez-vous anglais?

In The Public Domain
Over the next few weeks and months, I'll be POSTING various photographs taken from around the world.Since all the images contained on Beyond The Outhouse are in the public domain, I grant permission to use any or all of these images for historical & educational purposes. Also, BLOGGERS needing a particular image for a POST are allowed to use any or all of this site's photographs.

Indeed, the undersigned has only one simple request:
If you're going to use any or all of the following images, please give credit to your source (i.e. the undersigned).
Additionally, webmasters should attempt to update the META tags on web pages which contain my original work.
Anyhow, I've debated back and forth whether to allow POSTED comments on this particular BLOG. Many times, people just view the first page of a BLOG and click onwards and upwards to another site.
If you want to leave a message or comment, please visit the Smokers Paradise page. It's located somewhere deep within this site...thus...you'll just have to do some searching around...

Until we BLOG again...Au revoir, Arrivederci & Happy Trails!
