Walking down a dirt country road, I discovered three Buddhist Monks praying inside of a small, darken temple. Religion, in all its forms, continues to dominate man's interactions with this world. While making my own pilgrimage through life, I search for images which somehow reflect the faith & hope of humanity. Indeed, maybe one of these days, ALL of this world's religious leaders will stand together to fight the hatred and tyranny of global terrorism. Man, not God, hold the keys to a lasting peace.

NOTEPAD: I'm amazed at how many people complain about their daily lives...
This quick sequence of images were taken on a street in downtown Ho Chi Minh City (i.e. Saigon). I discovered this old women trying to sell packets of gum to passing tourists. While her life is a physical struggle, she appeared happy and content. Instead of begging...she makes a simple living selling gum for just 5 cents a pack profit.

OBSERVATION: While I've attempted to remain politically neutral throughout this BLOG, I believe Globalization has partially contributed to the rise of Islamic Fundamentalism.
The dramatic changes for the status of women in Asia mirror the modern pressures currently underway in Islamic countries.
The verdict is still out whether our world can withstand this latest storm of hate & violence. Unlike facism or communism, the roots of this cultural struggle are based on corrupt religious ideals. While I don't claim to have all the answers, I believe world peace may rest in the further social & political empowerment of women in all societies. Somehow, instead of focusing on those issues which divide our world, it's time to build a permanent bridge of peaceful tolerance.
Perhaps only the mothers, daughters, & sisters of the world understand the love it takes to stop the ongoing madness.
